In December Apollo Fabrication wrapped our delivery for the new Melonba Education Campus in Marsden Park Sydney, along with our valued clients Richard Crookes Construction. The campus is one of the largest school developments completed by School Infrastructure, set to provide modern and specialist support classrooms for 3,000 students across both the Primary and High Schools.
The project fabrication, delivery and install totaled 550 tonnes of structural steel, completed over the past year. Our scope included roof steel for school blocks A-F as well as both building and roof steel for block G. In addition to this, the delivery also included all covered walkways and carpark stairs.
The campus has achieved a 5 Star Green Star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia, due to the focus on sustainability throughout the whole project. This rating was important to achieve for the Marsden Park community due to their broader environmental goals and has positioned the campus as a model for future educational developments.
The Melonba Education Campus is part of the NSW Governments plan to rebuild public education, creating new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. Both Melonba Primary and Melonba High will be opening their new doors to their students from the first day of term 1 2025.
We are always grateful to work on projects that have such a positive lasting impact on communities.
