- Sustainability
Apollo is committed to continuously improving the sustainability of its products, and the processes employed to manufacture, deliver, and install them.
In pursuit of these aims, we ensure that our processes are certified to AS/NZS 14001 Environmental management systems, the International Standard for environmental management.
We are certified to Steel Sustainability Australia’s highest standard for sustainable steel fabrication.
We invite suppliers and downstream users, as well as any other stakeholders, to consult and partner with us in furthering these objectives.
Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) program
The Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) program covers the entire steel supply chain from upstream steel producers, through to our own fabrication and installation activity. It encompasses best practice environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators, and these are aligned to the Green Building Council of Australia’s (GBCA) Responsible Product Framework principles.
SSA certification at each available level has corresponding Responsible Product Values (RPVs) that meet the requirements of the 4 Green Star Responsible Products Credits under the ‘Responsible’ category of the Green Star rating tool.
The objective of the SSA certification program is to maintain a best practice standard against which sustainability performance can be assessed for the manufacturing and processing of steel over its entire value chain.
