In exciting news, Apollo Fabrication has been awarded the structural steelwork contracts for the Barangaroo Pier Pavilion Project in Sydney, and the Australian Opal Centre Project in Lightning Ridge.

Apollo will be working in partnership with Stephen Edwards Constructions to deliver the prestigious Barangaroo Pier Pavilion Project in Waterman’s Cove.

This project will see Apollo showcasing its expertise in Structural Steel Fabrication to CC3 level and Architecturally Exposed Structural Steelwork (AESS) at Level 3 (Feature Level), adhering to the AS/NZ 5131 standard.

The Barangaroo Pier Pavilion Project will feature an impressive scope of work, including 86 stainless steel columns, a 13-tonne oculus, and 17 trusses. Each component will be finished with a 3-coat Akzo Nobel architectural paint system, which is backed by a 25-year warranty to ensure durability in the ocean-adjacent environment. The final structure will boast a landscaped green roof with native plant species, celebrating the surrounding elements of land, sky, and sea.

In addition to the Barangaroo Pier Pavilion, Apollo Fabrication has secured the contract for the Australian Opal Centre Project at Lightning Ridge on Yuwaalaraay Country, with its valued client, Barpa Construction Services. This project involves 100 tonnes of complex architectural steelwork, including 13 trusses measuring 25 metres long by 2.8 metres high.
